AudioPin Privacy

AudioPin for macOS

Privacy policy

Effective September 1, 2026

AudioPin collects no data. Not analytics, not crash reports, not identifiers, not usage statistics - nothing. There is no account to create and no server to talk to.

No network access, by construction

The app is sandboxed and its only entitlement is the App Sandbox itself - it has no network entitlement. macOS therefore prevents AudioPin from opening any network connection. This is not a policy promise that could be broken by a bug or a careless update: transmitting data is technically impossible for the app as shipped.

No permissions, nothing observed

Reading and setting your Mac's default audio devices requires no macOS permission, so AudioPin never shows a permission prompt and holds no access to grant or revoke. It never touches what plays or what you say: no audio is captured, processed or heard. The app only watches which device is set as the system default and which one you pinned.

Your settings stay on your Mac

The pins and preferences you set are stored locally in the app's own sandbox container. They are never uploaded, synced or logged anywhere.

Purchases

AudioPin is paid up front on the Mac App Store. The purchase is processed entirely by Apple; AudioPin has no in-app purchases and never sees or stores any payment data. Apple's own privacy policy governs the transaction.

Third parties and tracking

There are no third-party SDKs, no ad networks, no tracking of any kind. Under Apple's App Privacy questionnaire, every category is answered "Data Not Collected".

Changes and contact
